Making reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ

Rejoice in the Light of Christ! 12/21

Dear River Reach Family,

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

John 1:4-5

It doesn’t take much to recognize that our world is broken and seemingly shrouded in darkness. This is not God’s intended design for our world or for us! He created light to shine in the darkness (Genesis 1:3). He made all things perfect and very good (Genesis 1:31). Man’s sin plunged this world into darkness, yet God’s love sent His Son Jesus Christ into this dark world to shine the light of hope for all men! (John 1:4-5). Through Jesus Christ, life and light shine upon all men. The birth of our Lord marked the dawn of hope for a dark world and for the souls lost in that darkness (John 14:6). No matter how dark the curse may be around you, darkness can never extinguish the light of Jesus Christ! (John 1:5 – “and the darkness did not comprehend it!”) This year at Christmas we are reminded once again to look to the our Lord for life and light. His light will dispel the darkness in from our lives!
