Making reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ

The Powerful Word – Acts 19:8-20

Dear River Reach Family,

So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.

Acts 19:20

Our world is dependent on power sources. Connection to the power grid, battery life, fuel levels, energy levels determine the quality of our lives and our productivity. Power outages quickly bring our lives to a screeching halt. While physical power is important to our lives, spiritual power is even more significant. To have physical power but no spiritual power is to be trapped in a discouraging and hopeless existence. When God called us into His family by faith in His Son Jesus Christ, He connected us to the never ending supply of His power. Spiritual power is essential for spiritual growth, but is also critical for all spiritual ministry. This week our passage demonstrates to us the power of God available to flow through us for the glory of our Lord.
