Dear River Reach Family,
The pride of man will be humbled and the loftiness of men will be abased; and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.” Isaiah 2:17
One of the most deceitful and undetectable sins is the sin of pride. Pride infiltrates to the inner core of our beings and sabotages the roots of our thinking. It reprograms our logical rationale and skews our self-perception. Pride is an unabashed self-seeker. Pride will not stop till we have dethroned God in our own minds and hearts and placed ourselves on His throne. Pride is crafty enough to let us believe that we honor God while in reality we have left Him as only a puppet to approve of our own sovereignty. Pride gives us the license to pursue all other sins. Because pride is a direct rival to God, He has placed it at the top of His enemy list (Isaiah 2:11-12). Our proud hearts don’t like to hear that we are proud! In fact a proud person reading this passage immediately complies a list of all the proud people around him/her who needs to hear this message 🙂 Thankfully God is at work in the hearts of His children to root out and someday remove completely this ally of Satan from us. It is better to willingly humble ourselves before God rather than force God to humble us!

Flyer Distribution Tomorrow Morning @ 10:00am

Fall Fun Fest Service Night – Sunday 10/22 at 6:00pm
This Sunday evening, we need your help! We have jobs for all sizes and ages. Men, please come ready for yard work and putting together games. Ladies will be cleaning, organizing packets, and other small jobs. Pastor Dan will go over the instructions for Fall Fun Fest, and I will give a short challenge about how God can use you to impact people for the glory of God. If our church wide outreach will be a success, it will be because the people of the church pitched in to help. There will be no discipleship groups that Sunday evening.
