What do we consider the most valuable thing in our lives? As we enter a new year, we have a great opportunity to evaluate our values. In this passage God through Paul teaches us the value of knowing Christ. Living for ourselves and our personal gain leaves us empty and discouraged, but knowing Christ completely outshines anything this world can offer. We are called to let faith invert our natural values and to seek growth in our personal relationship with Christ at all costs.
