Dear River Reach Family,
In my distress I called upon the LORD,
And cried to my God for help;
He heard my voice out of His temple,
And my cry for help before Him came into His ears.
Psalm 18:6
At times we feel like the trials of life are about to overwhelm us! It often feels like the dangers and threats, pressures and stresses, foreboding changes, difficult relationships, pandemics, financial pressures, temptations, and more will be too much. Life can be extremely difficult for every human being living in this sin cursed world. Where do we turn in our distress? Those who don’t know God or reject Him are left to face the stresses of life with only human power and capacity. Almost everyday we are faced with the glaring reality that our problems are bigger than we can handle. Praise God that as His children by faith in Jesus Christ, we may call out to Him in our distress and He will deliver us! In Psalm 18, David recounts God’s swift and powerful deliverance in his life when He turned to the Lord for help. This Sunday we will meditate with the Psalmist on the faithfulness and capability of our prayer answering God!
