Making reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ

The Transformed Life 7/19/19

Dear River Reach Family,

Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, 2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

Acts 9:1-2

Do you ever look at someone and think, “There is no hope for that person!” Maybe they are deeply bound by sin. Maybe their life is a disaster. Maybe they hate God and are opposed to the Gospel. Maybe you look at you own life and think there is no hope in your situation. Praise God Jesus Christ transforms lives! There is no greater example of spiritual transformation than the testimony of change from Saul the persecutor to Paul the apostle of Jesus Christ. All salvation is of God. He is able to save even the most hardened and proud sinner and make them glorious servants of Jesus Christ! In our passage for Sunday, God gets the attention of Saul, brings him to faith in Christ, and begins the process of completely transforming his life. In Saul/Paul’s testimony we find great hope in the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! (Romans 1:16)

Sermon: “The Transformed Life” – Acts 9:1-22
