Before we will develop an appetite for personal Bible Study we must first recognize and acknowledge obstacles that hinder us.

Discussion Questions:

If you have opportunity prior to our session, please take a few minutes to consider these questions that we will discuss.

What hinders us from studying the Bible?

What physical, mental, spiritual, or logical obstacles inhibit our hunger for God’s Word (Matthew 5:6)?

Why should we study the Bible?

What is the motivation that will cause you to hurdle all obstacles to study God’s Word?  Consider

My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you, 2 Make your ear attentive to wisdom, Incline your heart to understanding; 3 For if you cry for discernment, Lift your voice for understanding; 4 If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures; 5 Then you will discern the fear of the LORD And discover the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”  Proverbs 2:1-6
