Making reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ

“Resting in God’s Providence in our Lives” – Acts 18:1-11

Dear River Reach Family,

“After these things he left Athens and went to Corinth. 2 And he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, having recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. He came to them.

Acts 18:1-2

Life may see like a bunch of random events colliding together haphazardly to form our existence. Take pandemics, forced life changes, nationalities, job skills, geographic locations, political movements, angry people, the need to make money, and a list of other variables and put them all together and what do you have? A bunch of craziness and stress, or a perfectly orchestrated scenario to enable fruitful ministry for the Lord’s glory? So often we get caught up in the mundane details of life and miss the bigger picture of God’s all-wise and loving plan. God is at work in the life of every one of us to enable us to bring glory to His name. Though everything around us may be changing, we can be confident that God’s plan is able to take every scenario and work it together for our good and His glory! Even in times of change and uncertainty, God is able to bring into our lives special and unforeseen blessings. As the Holy Spirit continues to take us on a tour of Paul’s life and ministry as he transitions from Athens to Corinth, He wants us to learn to rest and rejoice in God’s providence in our lives.
